Teacher Biography 

My name is Gloria Moseley, and I am very pleased to be the 4th grade teacher here at Saint Athanasius School. I have continued my education throughout my life, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degrees from various universities in Theology, Education, and Literacy fields. I currently spend my weekends as the Log Cabin Lady at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, teaching young people about the life and times of people long ago! 3. Math - Study preview words in the textbook on page 4. Here are the words: estimate, expanded form, period, round, standard form, and word form.

4. Science - Study Lab Learner Scientist words on handout page 2. Here are the words: lips, mouth, teeth, throat/esophagus, heart, small intestines, and large intestines.

5. ELA - Be prepared to answer the following question aloud. What are the 3 elements of the structure of a story?

1. ELA - Reread the Journeys TB pages 192 and193 Verb Tenses. Copy the definitions for the following target verb tenses. Journeys refers to these as academic language on page 192: present tense, past tense, future tense. Study target words for rescheduled Spelling test on Thursday. Here are the target words:  entertaining, promote, focus, advertise, jolts, critics, target, thrilling, angles, and generated.

2. Math - Review the Mid-Chapter Checkpoint on pages 73 and 74 for test on Thursday.

(Use the following themes: baseball, ping pong, pool table, flying bird, opening a door, a swing, growing a plant, decorating a Christmas tree.)

2. Math - Use the Go Math textbook to copy the definitions for each of the following target math words into your math notebook:  multiply, expanded form, place value, hundreds place, tens place, ones place. Drill the times tables beginning with 1x1= through 12x12. This assignment will help review for the Mid-Chapter Math test on Friday.
