Mr. Coey

Hello! My name is Mr. Charles Coey. I am the math, science, and religion teacher for the 7th and 8th grades. I am still new to teaching middle school students, but I do have several years experience teaching at the college level.

I struggled in math during middle and high school. Then, in college, I forced myself to learn (with the help of a good teacher, of course). As my skills grew, I started to really understand and even enjoy it! I volunteered as a math tutor and discovered the joy of teaching. So, I have a lot of empathy for students who struggle, and I want to help them see they can overcome those challenges!

I am privileged to be here teaching your children at St. A's. I am very happy to speak with you about their progress and performance, or if you have any questions or concerns at all. For 7th graders, we will always start in our "homeroom" and will go to the other classes only if necessary. For 8th graders, we will always start in our "math classroom".
