               Mr. Coey

Hello! My name is Mr. Charles Coey. I am the math, science, and religion teacher for the 7th and 8th grades. This will be my third year at St. Athanasius.

I struggled in math during middle and high school. Then, in college, I forced myself to learn (with the help of a good teacher, of course). As my skills grew, I started to really understand and even enjoy it! I volunteered as a math tutor and discovered the joy of teaching. So, I have a lot of empathy for students who struggle, and I want to help them see they can overcome those challenges!

I am privileged to be here teaching your children at St. A's. I am very happy to speak with you about their progress and performance, or if you have any questions or concerns at all. August 31st, 2026 

Welcome back to school, students! I look forward to meeting all of the new 7th graders this coming week. I am excited to get reacquainted with the 8th graders too! Parents and guardians, please come to our back-to-school night on September 16th, 6:30 PM. Hope to see you there!
