A Family That Reads Together, Succeed Together

St. Athanasius Parents/Guardians,

Take a moment, at least 20 minutes a day, to read to your scholar/s.

"Research has found that young children whose parents read to them daily have been exposed to at least 290,000 more words by the time they enter kindergarten than kids who aren’t read to regularly. And depending on how much daily reading time kids get, that number can go up to over a million words. All that exposure likely makes it easier for kids to expand their vocabularies and understand the variety of texts they’ll need to read as they get older, both inside school and out".

Prayer Message:

Lord,

"Thank you for my beautiful family. It worries me that I cannot protect them from all of the evil in this world. I am on my knees asking for your help. Please watch over my family today when they step out the front door. Send an angel to guide them home safely and avoid any harm they may face".

In Jesus' name, Amen.

I highly encourage you to memorize this powerful prayer.  Pray it while you are making the bed in the morning, waiting for a red light, or watching the news thinking, “What can I do?”

Most families also suffer from difficulties resulting from some type of evil.  Share the aspiration with your family members.  You may be surprised at the power of prayer.
